Living is Eating

Welcome to Living is Eating! A site about all things that relate to fine food. Upon reflection upon my life, most of the very best times involved eating with friends, family, and colleagues and during travel, entertaining, celebrating milestones and accomplishments. All included fine food and the act of eating and generally drinking.

I fondly remember restaurants visited and the meals with friends, family and colleagues throughout my life. Most of the establishments have come and gone, as have regrettably some of the friendships and family.

For example, my wife and I were reminiscing just the other night regarding the Surf and Turf meal we had prepared whilst living in the Bahamas which was abruptly interrupted midstream by the desire of one of my children to be delivered. Needless to say didn’t get to taste the freshly broiled lobster or filet mignon.

I have had the joy of hosting Christmas day for our extended family for the past decade and still have each of the menus that I prepared for Christmas dinner and Boxing Day brunch. Each year trying to outdo the last (with varying results) and everyone contributing wonderful and diverse dishes.
